Music City Bronze is Nashville's premier community handbell ensemble, a non-profit organization fully affiliated with the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR).
In January 2006, Susan Nance and John Pfeiffer held an organizational meeting of those interested in being part of a community handbell choir, the purpose of which was to play secular music at a more difficult level than is traditionally found in church groups.
The group chose the name Music City Bronze to reflect the home city of the group and the material from which bells are made.
The mission statement created by the ensemble is “to reach for higher levels of musicianship in handbells/chimes, and to promote, educate, and share the passion of handbell/chime music with the community.
FBC is proud to have one of its own, Lorri Johnson, as a member of this fine ensemble. |
