Need to know where to park your tractor? Well, as a downtown church, weekday, day-time events can be a challenge when it comes to parking, dropping off and picking up children. In order to help us control the flow of traffic, as well as ensure each child's safety, please use the following procedures when dropping off and picking up your child for VBS:
Dropping Off Your Child
Whether parking and escorting your child in, or simply driving through and dropping off, please drop off your child at the Vine Street drive-through entrance (see map below). Children will then be escorted to the morning assembly in the sanctuary. An information and registration table (registration for those not pre-registered) will be located by the conference room.
Picking Up Your Child
VBS pick up is at 12 Noon. At the end of VBS activities, all children will be taken to the Vine Street entrance and will wait, inside, with VBS workers and traffic leaders for pick up, both on foot and in vehicles. Please have your "pick up password" from your child's registration form available. For your child's saftey, no child will be released without this password. Murfreesboro police will be on hand to ensure the flow of traffic and allow cars to exit the drive through back onto Vine Street.
So that everyone will have a smooth pick up experience, please obey the following when picking up your child:
VBS Pick Up Commandments
- You shall obey the VBS Traffic Leaders and Policemen.
- You shall keep your car running.
- You shall stay in your car.
- You shall pull into the Vine Street drive through when directed.
- You shall have your personal password (from registration form) ready for all children you plan to pick up.
- You shall pick up at Noon.
- You shall circle the city block if the drive-through is full.
- You shall not walk up and take a child without giving your password to the "pick up team."
- You shall understand that we have these rules to provide a safe environment for your child.
- You shall talk to your child about their experiences at VBS on the drive home.

Parking
Whether you choose to park and drop off or pick up your child on foot, or if you are a VBS volunteer, there are specific parking options during the daytime hours. Free city parking is available in the following locations:
- The Bank of America lot at the corner of Spring and Vine streets has 12 spaces reserved for FBC. These are first come, first served. Spaces 1 - 6 and 13 - 18 are marked for FBC. Please DO NOT park in spaces not marked for FBC, as your vehicle may be towed.
- The city lot at the corner of Spring and Sevier streets. All spaces first come, first served.
- Street parking in designated spaces. Please be aware that all street parking has a time limit during business hours, and police regularly patrol.
