Established in 1995, the Fine Arts Academy provides quality music education in a Christian environment, maximizing the student's musical potential with the goal of enabling each individual for ministry, personal enjoyment and musical enjoyment.
Academy lessons are open to anyone of any age. Adults, youth, and children are encouraged to develop their talents. There will be some minimum age requirements determined by the teachers for some areas of study.
Instruction is currently available in the following areas:
- Violin and Viola
- Guitar
- Piano
- Voice
- Fiddle
Other lessons may be available upon request
Lessons:
Lessons are taught during afternoon and early evening hours weekly, Monday through Friday, at a time mutually acceptable to the teacher and student. No lessons will be taught during times which conflict with the scheduling of First Baptist Church activities. Lessons run in conjunction with the school year (September - May). Summer sessions also available during June and July.
There will be no lessons taught on holidays or when Rutherford County Schools are closed. Canceled lessons by students require 24 hour advance notice, except for emergencies. Excused absences will be for sickness and death in the family. Make up lessons will be scheduled at the discretion of the teacher. Lessons missed by the teacher must be made up.
Fees:
A non-refundable registration fee of $20.00 per student is due with the registration form ($15.00 fee for the second family member). Lesson fees are $18.00 per lesson.
All fees are based on 30 minute lessons. Hour lessons are also available. Art lessons are taught classroom style at a reduced rate.
Fees are due monthly, on or before the first lesson. They must be paid only by check to FBC Academy of Fine Arts and given to the Academy administrative secretary. A late fee of $6.00 will be assessed after the 15th of the month. FEES DO NOT INCLUDE THE COST OF MUSIC.
