Christian Formation is the on-going journey of growing toward wholeness in Christ. It can be defined as “the process of being shaped in the image of Christ, by the working of God's Spirit, for the transformation of the world.”
At First Baptist we believe that learning to love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength is a life-long process. We seek to provide a variety of groups and resources to learn, grow, and connect with other poeple to share our faith journeys. This includes:
- Sunday School is the backbone of our Christian Formation ministry at FBC. Sunday School provides a place to share with other Christians on the journey, and to apply the teachings of scripture to our lives. Click here for more information: FBC Sunday School
- Wednesday evenings are another prime time for connecting and growing. Each Wednesday evening our Pastor leads a Bible study in Fellowship Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m. Additional small-group discipleship classes are also held on Wednesday evening.
- Other Christian Formation Activities include "Coupletime" Marriage Enrichment groups, other small groups during the week, retreats, and 1-on-1 coaching/mentoring. For more information about these opportunities contact Phil Potratz at firstname.lastname@example.org or 893-2514.
