SOUTH TEXAS MISSION TRIP

JUNE 22 - 29, 2019

21 Days to Pray

21 Days of Prep Prayers for FBC’s South Texas Mission Trip 2019

Day #19 (June 19)

Recitations—

Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. —Deuteronomy 6v4-9

Praying together:

“Our God, as we go on this journey where we will experience new people, new places, and new justice issues, may we develop new habits of faithfulness. May we return home energized for new forms of discipleship. And may we commit our whole lives to loving you with our heart, soul and might. In the loving name of Jesus Christ…Amen!”

As we have these last days of final prep, may we find peace and comfort in convening with the Almighty. Keep praying!

Day #18 (June 18)

Representatives of the Divine—

For we are not peddlers of God’s word like so many; but in Christ we speak as persons of sincerity, as persons sent from God and standing in his presence. —2 Corinthians 2v17

Praying together—

“We ask you, God, that you would allow us to speak as people of sincerity and that the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts would be pleasing to you. Today, we are reminded of the “A family” as we have the chance to construct a physical structure for them. We bring them before you in prayer today that we would work for them and speak to them as you instruct us, sent from you. We stand in your presence today, God, and offer ourselves as living sacrifices. Keep our hearts at peace as we make final preparations. In the name of Christ, we pray…Amen!”

Day #17 (June 17)

And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. —Romans 5v3-5

For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. — Hebrews 10v36

My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. —James 1v2-3

Praying in unity—

“Today we ask that, as we face challenges and adversity on our mission trip, we will strive for joy to be the undercurrent with which we endure struggles. Holy Spirit, give us your joy that is beyond human happiness and seeks remind us of what has been done for us by Christ on the cross. We serve you, O God, and accept what you have for us as we are in the final stages of preparation for the work you have ordained in us. We praise you and thank you! In Jesus’ name!”

Day #16 (June 16)
