Missions — WMU

WMU is a missions organization which includes both men and women, and boys and girls, in its missions programs and activities.  Church-wide mission projects are presented every month for all who wish to participate, regardless of membership in the WMU.  Together we accomplish these strategic principles, or purposes:  pray for and give to missions, do missions, learn about missions, develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, and participate in the work of the church and denomination.

For we are labourers together with God...
— 1 Corinthians 3:9

This scholarship fund in named in memory of Helen Brown, church librarian for 16 years, and who was very supportive of the work of the WMU, missions education and services of First Bapstist Church.  It is her family's wish that the scholarship be awared to a student that has proven to be involved in both mission work and missions education.  To the student who completes the necessary requirements, $1,000 will be awarded annually ($500 each semester) through the church to the college of his or her choice.  This scholarship is open to a college undergraduate or incoming college freshman for the academic year.

If you wish to contribute to this fund, please contact Brenda Alexander, FBC Financial Secretary, at 615.893.2514 or via email for contribution options.
