The Senior Adults Ministry at First Baptist offers a variety of activities for individuals 55+ at various life stages. The Senior Adults Ministry also maintains an active homebound ministry for those who live in various facilities in Murfreesboro and are unable to attend worship or fellowships on a regular basis.
One highlight of the Senior Adults Ministry is Young At Heart, a monthly fellowship that meets every third Friday of the month at 10:45 a.m. This special time together, which is followed by a delicious lunch, includes devotion and prayer time, as well as special programs on a wide variety of topics.
A Senior Adult Choir has recently formed and meets at 10:00 a.m. on Fridays — either in room 107 or in a local facility where they lead in a hymn sing. The only requirements are a love of the old hymns and joy in singing! The choir is led by Wayne Hatchett and accompanied by Gayle Barrett.

The brochures have arrived! Let’s have a party! Help us decide whether our 2020 travels will take us to Greece or Iceland, Wednesday evening, June 12 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We’ll have some ice cream and look over the brochures and see which of these we might prefer. After we think about it and make our decision, there will be an informational meeting with Sawyer Shoates in August specific to the trip that we have chosen. Hope to see you there!
