Worship at First Baptist Church
You are invited to join us for worship each Sunday morning at 10:30 CST either in our beautiful sanctuary at 200 E. Main Street or online via Vimeo. Read on for more insight about how we do worship on site, and check out "Worship Online" in the menu above for digital options.
Our Worship Services

We worship together in person and via Vimeo on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Our services feature strong involvement from lay people in the church, who regularly contribute musical offerings, visual art, poems and meditations, as well as prayer and scripture readings. Members of our pastoral staff open and close the service with words of welcome and benediction, and our senior pastor preaches engaging and accessible sermons.
Sermons at FBC

Dr. Money's sermon style is accessible and conversational. We dig into scripture understood through the lens of Jesus, to grasp an ever deepening understanding of who we are called to be in Christ and what that means in our own modern context. Sermons help us learn and grow in our understanding of our role in God's kingdom work here on Earth.
Music in Worship
The worship at FBC is varied- on a given Sunday you may hear hymns and praise songs, a bluegrass ensemble, soloists and congregational singing, piano, organ, and more. The music reflects the gifts and talents of our congregation. Lyrics are displayed on screens and are available in our hymnals.
Accessibility in Worship

At FBC we value all attendees and strive to continue to improve the worship experience for everyone. Below you will find information about a few of the ways we are hoping to meet the accessibility needs of our community here. If there are additional ways we might be able to increase accessibility during worship, Bible Study, or any time you join us, please do not hesitate to contact the ministry staff or church office to offer your insights.
-
Large Print Bulletins: Large Print worship bulletins are available where bulletins are distributed. If you would like to use a large print bulletin, just ask our greeters for one as you enter the sanctuary.
-
Additional Speakers for the Hearing Impaired: If you would benefit from additional sound amplification during worship, consider sitting beneath the balcony on the side of the sanctuary closest to Main Street. There are additional speakers in that area which further amplify the sound during worship.
-
Ramp access to the sanctuary through the Welcome Center
-
Ramp access to the stage at the front of the sanctuary
-
Elevator access to the upper floors of our building
-
Accessible restrooms on each floor of our building
-
Quiet sensory toys for children to use during worship
Children in Worship

We welcome families of all shapes and sizes into our sanctuary! Children are not just the future of our church, they are an integral piece of this puzzle right now. They are invited to both engage in and lead in worship.
For your convenience, we offer Worship Care for infants through PreK during our worship services.
Worship Bags are available for children 5th grade and under in the sitting area next to the sanctuary. The worship bag station contains many items children can choose to bring with them into the service. These include children’s sermon note-taking workbooks, white boards and dry erase crayons, and sensory items. At the end of the service, deposit the worship bag into the receptacle outside of the sanctuary to be sanitized.
