FBC Children

Children's Ministry on Sunday mornings at First Baptist, led by our Associate Pastor, Rev. Heather Burke, offers an alternative to the prevalent entertainment-centered models in favor of Godly Play, a contemplative, hands-on, Montessori-style approach to faith development and Christian education. Children explore Bible stories with hands-on manipulatives and are encouraged to wonder, asking questions and engaging with their faith in a deep, meaningful, and fun way! After the story, children are given time to respond to what they have heard through play- creating art, playing with Bible story kits, and doing other activities they choose.

Children are welcomed to lead in worship on Sunday mornings through music, scripture reading, and prayer at FBC.
Other opportunities for kids includes Wednesday night activities that emphasize music, missions, and Bible literacy.
Family Fun Days, holiday celebrations, summer activities like camp and VBS, and missions activities are also periodically planned for children and families at FBC.
