VIVE: The Church Made Alive

We are just over a week away from our special weekend with noted author, leadership consultant, and missional thought shaper Reggie McNeal. Some of you have asked who this guy is and why it is important to be part of the experience. Let me take a shot at it.
For over 30 years, Christian thought leader Reggie McNeal has dedicated himself to helping everyday people, congregations, organizations and their leaders pursue more intentional, vibrant, meaningful lives. His professional experience is wide-ranging, from serving as a denominational executive, congregational leader, leadership coach, the founding pastor of a new church, and more. He has also lectured and taught as adjunct faculty for multiple seminaries, served as a church ministry consultant, and advised in the business sector.
He has written some of the most important books on faith, leadership, and kingdom living in the past quarter century. In “The Present Future,” published in 2003, Reggie told us about the future we are experiencing before it became present reality. He tells the hard truth, but not without offering hope and a clearly readable roadmap for journey ahead. “Missional Church” and “Missional Renaissance” are standards in the field. “Leadership, A Work of Heart” is a masterful spiritual guide. The tongue in cheek titled “Get Off Your Donkey” implores us to help others and help ourselves.
A national faith leaders wrote; “Reggie masterfully does what we have come to expect of him; intersecting the path of our past with the reality of our present in order to guide and challenge us toward a new and better direction for our future.”
So, why should we come and listen to him? More than any person I know or know of, Reggie senses and understands cultural shifts before the rest of us feel the first rumblings. He is fanatical about the Kingdom of God and has given his life to help people and the groups they gather in to come alive by joining God in his work. He sees what most of us are too busy to see, and challenges us to new ways of thinking, inviting us to take the onramp that leads to an accelerated ride toward a vibrant future.
We are so fortunate to have Reggie paint a picture of possibilities Saturday morning. On Sunday he will preach in worship, and over lunch do a deeper dive that helps us all, especially those in leadership, practically design our path forward.
I hope that inspires you. I know it does me. To help us plan for you, please make your reservations. (CLICK TO MAKE RESERVATIONS) I look forward to seeing you there.
Glen
